Hi, I’m Michelle, the founder and host of Sip, Play & Match-Up! I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart — starting, running, and growing several successful businesses across different industries over the years because I love creating things that make people’s lives better. But this one? This one came straight from my own experience.
Being single for quite some time, I realized just how frustrating the dating world has become — especially as we get older. Technology was supposed to make it easier to meet people, but somewhere along the way, it replaced real connection. Now with dating apps, and people hiding behind screens, real human connection seems to have taken a backseat. Like we all forgot how to just talk, it’s so easy to send a wave emoji instead of walking up and saying hello. You never really get rejected to your face… but does that actually help us, or just keep us stuck?
I started thinking — we keep doing the same thing over and over in dating and getting frustrated but expecting different results. We swipe, we text, we ghost. We go to bars or awkward speed dating events that feel forced or boring. And honestly, where’s the fun in that?
Then BING! 💡 It hit me. I love hanging out with friends — laughing, playing games, just talking and enjoying life. So why not bring that same vibe to singles? Sip, Play & Match-Up was born. It’s not your typical dating scene — no pressure, no awkward one-on-ones, and definitely no catfish.
A place where you can meet multiple people in one fun night, play some games, laugh a lot, and maybe even meet someone special. And if you don’t? You still had a great time, made new friends, and enjoyed a few drinks. Win-win! 🍷
